It's such a massive shame, because I love the unique style of the game, and would have happily played to the end, but now it's just becoming a slog and I'm no longer invested in it. Allied to the fact that you can sprint for about 3 seconds before you have to stop and get your stamina back up, and it all adds up to intense tedium for me. Having to find a hatch to fast travel to another area, rather than just click somewhere on the map, just makes the whole fetching ordeal even more arduous. On its own that would turn me right off, but the travel methods in the game make it even harder. Almost literally every single one is 'go here, find x, bring it back to me'. I can't remember the last time I got a quest that wasn't a fetch quest. Having the game set in London where the voice actors were using a variety of British or Scottish accents was something a bit different and also added to my enjoyment.īut unfortunately, I'm nearing the end of the first chapter, and I've decided to step away from it and play something else instead, because it's now just become far too repetitive. I loved the story and dialogue, and thought the voice acting was fantastic. The wonderfully creepy art style was as captivating as I thought it was going to be, both with the characters and the environment. When I first started playing I was having a great time. I loved the creepy, almost manic looks of the characters, and decided I had to give it a bash. When I was looking through my gamepass choices recently, We Happy Few was one that immediately jumped out at me because of the art on the cover.
